Why is the increase in the State’s shared revenue not the solution?

The City received and additional $124,441 in shared revenue in 2024 – 3.5% of the overall operating budget – which has been used to fund general City operational expenses.

 

This amount, while helpful, has not come close to covering the gap across all services from the last decade of levy limits, given the way costs for goods and services are also increasing.
