Public Librarian Certificate – Grade II, Wisconsin Library Association and Academy of Television Arts & Sciences
I started working for the Tomahawk Public Library on October 1, 2017. Prior to starting with the Library, I taught in the university setting for over 10 years, where I lectured on costume design and technology. At the university, I was also the shop manager for the costume department. Before teaching, I was a television costumer in Los Angeles. Some of the shows I worked on are Sabrina the Witch and West Wing. I received my BFA from UW - Stevens Point and my Masters from UC – Irvine.
I love living in the northwoods! If you have lived in other places, you can understand that Wisconsin is very unique. Waking up every morning and being surrounded by trees and nature, what a wonderful way to live. Water……we have the most beautiful lakes!!! When I lived in Charlotte NC, friends tried to get me to swim in what I call “mud puddles”. Never happened, I love to swim in our clean, clear lakes and rivers.
Being a librarian is new for me but loving to read, seeking knowledge and helping people is second nature. I truly believe in COMMUNITY; Tomahawk is a wonderful community to be a part of. I hope to guide the library and serve the community with smiles, materials, programs and information access. Please stop by the library and enjoy the worlds it offers.
